Nigma-Professional Training S1 BALI June 2011

Learn all the secrets of Bellydance technique & History, principles of Middle Eastern Music & Rhythms,
Middle Eastern Dance Special Resources,
representative Combos, Dance Sequences
and principles of creating a Choreography.
Learn 42 Middle Eastern Rhythms & the Bellydance Technique that goes with each of them, so you know, just like the Arab women do, the energies and movement corresponding to each genre & style of music!

Nigma's Bellydance Professional Training for Dancers & Teachers
is a u
nique Course of its kind with a large & comprehensive structure,
designed to make the Student -Dancer/Teacher- grow
within a well planned program:
SECTION I: MED Foundations (PARTS 1-4; 64h)
SECTIONII: Musical & Choreographical Forms in MED (PARTS 1-12; 168h)
SECTION III: Props in MED
(PARTS 1-8: 112h)
It is a fruit of Nigma’s creativity, great choreographical & didactic talents
and many years of reserch & study in Egypt, USA & Spain
with the most outstanding dancers & teachers
of Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey, Armenia, USA and Spain.

It is very valuable to all dancers and teachers who, being passionate about Bellydancing, want to delve into the Millenary Art of Bellydancing
in a quality Training.

It targets helping you become a complete & excellent dancer,
enhancing your creativity and intuitive & intellectual abilities as a dancer & teacher.
It contains subjects not found in other Bellydance Courses at all or presenting
some of them in much more extensive range of knowledge & practice, such as:
Special Resourses
(to acquire the representative resourses of Arab dancers in their moves, combinations and phrasing),
Methodology & Didactics (to improve not only your teaching skills but also the results of your own practice or rehearsals), Biomechanics of Middle Eastern Dance Movement (to understand what the repertoire of representative Bellydance movement is and how it is different from other dances), Middle Eastern Music Principles
(to have knowledge and understanding of the music you attempt to interpret, as -for most of you- it is part of another culture you haven't been born in), Middle Eastern Rhythm study (more extensive than in any other course: larger number of rhythms [43] and more options for their interpretation in dance), Middle Eastern Dance History (to gain perspective on national, regional and individual stylistic differences in Bellydance, and on some events of historical importance, as well as learn to appreciate the value & artistic quality of each presented dancer in a larger context)
.

IF YOU ARE TIRED OF LEARNING ALWAYS THE SAME THINGS,
while searching for so much more,
AND GETTING JUST A FRAGMENTED VISION OF OUR ART,
which is not enough if you are striving for excellency,
THIS IS A BELLYDANCE TRAINING FOR YOU!
A PIONEER, EXCELLENT QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE BELLYDANCE TRAINING FILLED WITH ADDITIONAL THEORETICAL INFORMATION
(APART FROM LONG PRACTICE SESSIONS, of course!)
YOU CAN’T FIND IN ANY OTHER COURSE,
TO BECOME AN EXCELLENT DANCER AND TEACHER!

Location:

Bali: The reason for conducting this intensive Training in Bali (Indonesia) is that there is no better place in the world to open and reconnect your heart, spirit and mind, which is what we search for when we dance. We hold it in 2 different locations: Ubud or Candidasa. Candidasa is a quiet beach area in the east of Bali, not commercial or crowded as the south. Ubud area is absolutely special and magical. This central part of Bali, full of lush tropical vegetation, is peaceful and soothing, and many oft its inhabitants are artists: dancers, musicians, painters, sculptors, jewellers, art designers, etc. It is a safe and relaxing environment of outstanding beauty, ideal for holiday and intensive study. The Students can apply for an extension of their accommodation if they wish to stay longer before or after the Course to rest and enjoy the island.

Rest & Optional Activities:

If you'd like to stay longer, ASK NIGMA TO BOOK THE HOTEL EXTENTION FOR YOU, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE TRAINING. THIS APPLICATION MUST BE DONE UPON REGISTRATION TO SECURE THE HOTEL AVAILABILITY AS LAST MINUTE DECISION CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR ROOM.
A list of alternative activities, ideas, recommendations, places to visit and contacts to exploit will be offered to the Participants so each can make free choices each day and carry out their activities according to individual preferences. You can apply for transport or make arrangements on your own. You can explore places with a group, get organized with your friends or go ahead on your own. Enjoy your time! Bali can be overwhelming… Our recommendations are:
—Touristic trips around Bali (lakes, volcano, Snake Farm, Elephant Safari, etc.)
—Temples (Tanah Lot, Besakih, etc.)
—Cremations
—Botanical Garden, Taman Ayun

Useful Information:

REGARDING THE CLASS:

REMEMBER to bring with you:

—many changes of class dancewear in case you'd like to change it daily or even twice a day due to the intensity of the class (many hours a day & most of the hours are dedicated to practice, not theorical classes)

—NO HIGH-HEEL SHOES RECCOMMENDED, they will be useless walking around in Bali
—flashlight (might be useful in many situations)

REGARDING THE COUNTRY:

—Bali is one of the very many islands composing Indonesia. It is the only Hinduist island within a Muslim country.
—Climate & Weather: tropical climate, warm weather with frequent warm rainfalls, specially at night time, temperature: 21-33ºC; Ubud area is cooler and slightly more rainy than the coastal areas
—Clothing: mostly short sleeve recommended + long sleeve for the cooler evening or mountain exploration; Bali, though part of a Muslim country, is a Hindu island so the dress code is totally tollerant allowing the summer holiday typical clothing (tank tops, T-shirts, shorts, miniskirts, bikinis for the beach, etc.)
—Voltage: 220Volts, 2 round plug prongs, if you come from Malaysia, Singapore, Great Britain, etc. you will need an adapter, so bringing your own is recommendable
—Currency: Indonesian Rupiah, the exchange rate fluctuate due to the world unstable economicl situation: (1€=11.600-15.500Rp, USD $1=8.000-10.500Rp); you can easily exchange your cash at numerous Money Changers or use your credit/debit cards (shops, restaurants, spas, ATM machines, etc.)
—Visa on Arrival available at the airport for up to 7 days or 30days is $10 or $25 respectively
—Remember to keep 150.000 Rp. for the airport tax you need yo pay at the airport before departure
