Objectives, Students & Structure:

For the detailed information about the Objectives & Character of the The Middle Eastern Dance Professional Training with Nigma & the profile of the Students (ProfessionalTraining.htm#Objectives&Students) addmitted, as well as the Structure of the Course (ProfessionalTraining.htm#Structure), please go to ProfessionalTraining.htm page.

Location of Study:

Bali: The reason for conducting this intensive Training in Bali (Indonesia) is that there is no better place in the world to open and reconnect your heart, spirit and mind, which is what we search for when we dance. Ubud area is absolutely special and magical. This central part of Bali, full of lush tropical vegetation, is peaceful and soothing, and many oft its inhabitants are artists: dancers, musicians, painters, sculptors, jewellers, art designers, etc. It is a safe and relaxing environment of outstanding beauty, ideal for holiday and intensive study. The Students can apply for an extension of their accommodation if they wish to stay longer before or after the Course to rest and enjoy the island.

Rest & Optional Activities:

If you'd like to stay longer, ASK NIGMA TO BOOK THE HOTEL EXTENTION FOR YOU, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE TRAINING. THIS APPLICATION MUST BE DONE UPON REGISTRATION TO SECURE THE HOTEL AVAILABILITY AS LAST MINUTE DECISION CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR ROOM.
A list of alternative activities, ideas, recommendations, places to visit and contacts to exploit will be offered to the Participants so each can make free choices each day and carry out their activities according to individual preferences. You can apply for transport or make arrangements on your own. You can explore places with a group, get organized with your friends or go ahead on your own. Enjoy your time! Bali can be overwhelming… Our recommendations are:
—Touristic trips around Bali (lakes, volcano, Snake Farm, Elephant Safari, etc.)
—Temples (Tanah Lot, Besakih, etc.)
—Cremations
—Botanical Garden, Taman Ayun
—Monkey Forrest visit
—Beach relaxation (Kuta-Seminyak, Jimbaran, Dreamland, quiet beaches in the East Bali: Pantai Pasir Putih, etc.)
—Spa treatments
—Art museums
—Balinese dance shows
—Balinese dance or yoga classes
—Shopping for art products
—MED private classes with Nigma, etc.

Useful Information:

—Climate & Weather: tropical climate, warm weather with frequent warm rainfalls, specially at night time, temperature: 21-33ºC; Ubud area is cooler and slightly more rainy than the coastal areas
—Clothing: mostly short sleeve recommended + long sleeve for the cooler evening; Bali, though part of a Muslim country, is a Hindu island so the dress code is totally tollerant allowing the summer holiday typical clothing (tank tops, T-shirts, shorts, miniskirts, bikinis for the beach, etc.)
—Voltage: 220Volts, 2 round plug prongs, if you come from Malaysia, Singapore, Great Britain, etc. you will need an adapter, so bringing your own is recommendable
—Currency: Indonesian Rupiah, the exchange rate fluctuate due to the world unstable economicl situation: (1€=11.800-13.500-15.000Rp, $1=8.000-9.000-10.000Rp); you can easily exchange your cash at numerous Money Changers or use your credit/debit cards (shops, restaurants, spas, ATM machines, etc.)
—Visa on Arrival available at the airport for up to 7 days or 30days is $10 or $25 respectively
—Remember to keep 150.000 Rp. for the airport tax you need yo pay at the airport before departure
